I am on the hunt for the right individual! An exceptionally talented and creative photographer to join my team for the 2023 wedding season. You will play a key role in the visual storytelling of weddings through photography. The second shooter position is casual contractual position, weekends only, a great second income. Your personality and commitment are more important to me then if you’ve actually photographed a wedding as I am looking for someone to shoot on a regular basis. If you are a team player and know the basics of photography inside and out I would love to chat with you!
To be Successful in my Wedding Photographer Team
To be successful in this role you need to LOVE photography and when I say LOVE I mean LOVE. This position requires reliability, dedication and commitment. I am looking for an individual who is enthusiastic, energetic and collaborative. A keen eye for capturing every single detail along with the candid moments in a creative way. Detail oriented and good with time management are key. Someone who can take charge of any situation, the guys getting ready for an example. Also someone who has the ability to walk into a room, assess the lighting as well as the composition of their subject within that room and use their camera settings to get the best results!
Photographer Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for securing all photography equipment needed for each wedding.
Responsible for taking photos throughout the wedding day.
Arrange objects, scenes, lighting and background to adhere to specifications.
Responsible for the timely management of formal family and wedding party images.
Responsible for aiding Sandra Adamson whenever he/she is needed.
Identifying the best locations in any situation that are most likely to generate the best pictures.
Being a second set of eyes.
Experience and Qualifications
Must own a vehicle.
Must be willing to travel throughout Nova Scotia.
DSLR experience required.
Basic photography knowledge is required.
Manual mode knowledge is required.
Able to set up lights and position yourself to get the best possible shots.
Ability to kneel, crouch, bend, walk, stand, and sit for long periods.
Being structured, detail-oriented, organized, reliable, and highly responsible.
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a highly dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Being open to new ideas and the ability to work cohesively with a team.
Second photographer/assistant wedding experience an asset.
