A Nova Scotia Seaside LGBT Wedding….with El & M
Nova Scotia seaside LGBT wedding dreams came to life on El & M’s wedding day at White Point Beach Resort, a beautiful reflection of who they are: joyful, adventurous, and completely in love.
A Coastal Love Story Wrapped in the Colors of a Rainbow
Some love stories start with a spark. El & M’s began with friendship—the kind that forms effortlessly, like waves lapping at the shore. They met through a mutual friend while attending Acadia University and quickly became fast friends. It wasn’t long before that friendship blossomed into something deeper, stronger, and undeniably meant to be.
Their Wedding Day
El & M’s favorite part of the day was without hesitation: jumping into the ocean in their dresses after the ceremony. It was spontaneous, wild, and unforgettable—just like their love. It was the kind of moment that perfectly summed up their relationship: bold, joyful, and free-spirited.

Choosing White Point was an easy decision for them—both El & M are self-described “ocean people,” and the coastal setting offered the perfect backdrop for the celebration they envisioned.
The Wedding Ceremony Photos
The wedding theme? A dreamy mix of beachy vibes and pastel rainbow hues. Think soft colors dancing in the sea breeze, romantic textures, and a touch of whimsy that felt both relaxed and full of heart. Every detail was intentional, echoing their personalities and the love they share.
The Wedding Party Photos
El & M’s wedding wasn’t just a celebration of love; it was a celebration of their love—a connection rooted in friendship, brought to life by the sea, lit up with the colors of a pastel rainbow and Onyx, the flower dog, approved. El & M if you ever want to give up Onyx, I’m first in line to take him:)

The Wedding Reception Photos
El and M’s wedding reception was a joyful celebration of love and authenticity. After a quick wardrobe change, the radiant couple made a grand entrance alongside their bridal party, setting a lively tone for the evening. Heartfelt speeches followed from both sets of parents and close friends, filled with laughter, tears, and touching stories. El and M then shared their first dance. In a unique and personal touch, they had hired a live artist to paint a scene captured earlier that day—an intimate dip in the ocean that symbolized their adventurous spirit. As the sun began to set, the couple stepped outside in their stunning second outfits for golden hour portraits, wrapping the evening in soft light and unforgettable warmth.
Advice for the Newly Engaged
Their advice to newly engaged couples? “Don’t wait on the planning,” they say. Even with a three-year engagement, they found themselves feeling behind at times. But perhaps the most important piece of wisdom they offered was this: “The only schedule you need to follow is yours. Decide what you want, and go from there.” In other words, do it your way—just like they did.
