A Rustic Backyard Truro Wedding with Savannah and Darren
Savannah and Darren got married in early October of 2017. They had a beautiful backyard rustic Truro wedding. Their formal pictures took place at the Truro Rock Gardens. Finally, a wedding reception at the Salmon River Firehall in Nova Scotia.
“Sandra is absolutely amazing! She recently did our wedding and I can not stop looking at the pictures! She went above and beyond my expectations. Highly recommend her. You made our special day that much better by capturing our moments! You rock!”

The Wedding Prep Photos
A was beautiful bright, warm and sunny autumn day.
Savannah got ready at her Aunt’s home in Lower Harmony with her bridal party and close family members. The atmosphere was relaxed but quite excited. Darren got ready at their home also located in Lower Harmony. It was a fun and relaxed environment with lots of enthusiasm. Both the ladies and the guys traveled to Savannah’s grandparent’s backyard for the wedding ceremony by vehicle.
After the backyard wedding we headed to the Truro Rock Gardens for family and wedding party pictures. Then on to the Salmon River Firehall for the wedding reception.

The Backyard Wedding Ceremony Photos
The ceremony was a held in a beautiful field, a backyard wedding. It was held at her grandparent’s home in Lower Harmony. I loved all of the rustic elements she had chosen for decorations. Rustic country style weddings are by far my absolute favorite weddings to capture. Savannah’s children were in the bridal party but I think the twin flowergirls stole the show. The barn doors were closed prior to Savannah and her father walking up the aisle. Darren got a stunning first look at his bride once those doors opened. I also loved the hay stacks for the guests to sit on. It was a very touching ceremony. They had two vintage vehicles on display at the alter area for the ceremony.

The Wedding Reception Photos
The reception was held at the Salmon River Firehall in Salmon River NS. It was again decorated in a rustic wedding theme just as the bride wanted with acorns, deer antlers and jams.
The dinner was buffet style and as usual an amazing meal. They followed that with several speeches, their first dance and then it was party time. I loved it when all the girls lined up showing off their cowboy boots for a dance. From beginning to end it was a stunning wedding.
