Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Wedding with Shelby and James

Shelby and James had their wedding in early August of 2017, at the stunning Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel in Halifax. It was a bright, sunny, beautiful day for a balcony wedding ceremony right on the Halifax Harbour.

The Wedding Prep Photos

Shelby and her bridesmaids got ready in the Maritime Suite at the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront. The atmosphere was full of excitement. There were frequent visits from friends and family during the morning while they were all getting ready for the big day. James got ready in one of the hotel room’s with his groomsmen. Both the ladies and the guys travelled to the hotel’s balcony for the wedding ceremony.

Shelby wore a beautiful sating gown with just a hint of sparkle while James’ wore a grey suit with a mauve bow tie. First wedding every with a groom and a bow tie, I LOVE it. They met while working together but Shelby would not date coworkers, so James’ quit, so he could date her. Now that’s a love story!

The Wedding Ceremony Photos

The ceremony was an intimate affair held on the balcony of the hotel, overlooking the Halifax harbour. Shelby walked up the aisle with her father. It was an extremely romantic and emotional ceremony. It was a short but sweet ceremony. At the end of the ceremony they gathered all of their wedding guests for an image of everyone! We then headed to the Historic Properties for their family and wedding party pictures.

The Wedding Reception Photos

The reception was held in the sable room of the venue. They had a buffet of finger style foods that was absolutely delicious. The decorations were simple and elegant with vases of flowers and lit candles. The speeches and first dance followed after dinner. Then they finished off the night with more dancing and a two hour photo booth! It was a stunning Halifax Marriott Harbourfront wedding.
