A Beautiful Lower Sackville Lions Club Wedding with Cecile and Keith
It was such a beautiful sunny day for a Lower Sackville Lions Club wedding! Not a cloud in the sky, though it was definitely the hottest day of the summer so far at 41 degrees. The wedding party were absolute troopers in that kind of heat. I still have no idea how Cecile made it through the day in that stunning Cinderella wedding dress.
The Love Story
Cecile and Keith actually met through online dating. Keith was the one who sent the first
message. There was a bit of time that went by from that first message to actually meeting,
but there was a definite connection when they finally did meet. Cecile and Keith managed
a long distance relationship from December to July, with constant communication
between the two. They built up their relationship first and then Keith introduced Cecile to
his two young sons. From that point forward, they never looked back! See their gorgeous engagement session at the Dingle Tower.
Their Wedding Day
Cecile’s favorite moment of the wedding day was when she was standing at the beginning of the aisle with her uncle. She looked down and saw Keith waiting for her at the end of the aisle. That moment was everything. It was their past and all they went through to get to that moment. The now and just how handsome Keith looked. The future with everything that was waiting ahead for them. It was the love and the excitement. Every moment full of emotion.
Advise for the Newly Engaged
Be flexible. Your wedding day will be different than you originally thought and you need to be ready to roll with change. And what will be will be beautiful.
The First Look Wedding Photos
Cecile and Keith opted for a first look followed by their wedding party formal pictures. Their first look had a slight twist to it. Cecile wanted a first look with Keith’s youngest son first, then a walk to her future husband to be. It was extremely emotional and you can see that in the photos captured.
The Wedding Ceremony Photos
Cecile and Keith were looking for a venue that was all inclusive (ceremony and reception). A wedding venue that had a nearby photogenic location but also a venue that fit within their budget. As it turned out the employees at the Sackville Lions Club were phenomenal to work with. They were very flexible and helpful.
The Wedding Party Photos
Cecile and Keith chose the Acadia Park behind the Sackville Library for their wedding formal images. It had a beautiful trellis which offered a bit of shade as well as beautiful pathways and rod iron benches.
The Wedding Reception Photos
Their theme was representative of the two of them. Cecile and Keith wanted pieces of themselves woven into every part of the day. They dropped a lot of the more traditional pieces such as bouquets for lanterns, which carried a deeper meaning for them.
Covid and the Wedding Day
For them, Covid made for a lot of last minute planning. They were waiting to see what the restrictions would be the closer it got to their wedding day. It also meant being very flexible with the guest list. Covid has changed us as a society and some people still didn’t want to be in larger crowds.
