A Match Made In Heaven: Wedding Games For Your Big Day!
Wedding games can be a fantastic way to commemorate the big day and get guests involved in the fun! Picking two or three games that suit your personality and wedding vibe will make your special day one to remember and guests will be sure to tell everyone about the lovebirds and their celebration for years to come. Below are just a few crowd favorites!
Lawn Wedding Games
If you are having an outdoor reception, it is always fun to have a variety of lawn games available for guests to play.
There are so many options from corn hole which is always a hit to giant four across. You can personalize any game by changing the name of the game and colors to suit the theme of your wedding. Another hit is giant chess or checkers! Or how about giant beer pong?

The Kissing Wedding Games with a Twist
Everyone knows about the kissing game at weddings! The following kissing wedding games are a twist on the classic version, where guests *clink* their glasses to get the newlyweds to kiss.
Hula-hooping for the Honeymooners
If you don’t feel like kissing all night, at least in public (wink, wink), this fun twist is perfect. It still gives guests a chance to see the newlyweds display their love, and it adds an active element to your wedding which gets even more fun as the night goes on (it’s also really fun if kids are attending your reception!).
You can have guests hula-hoop around their waist to make you kiss, throw a ball through the hoop that is strung up, or make it super interesting and have guests hula-hoop on different parts of their bodies for different lengths of kisses. The possibilities are endless!
Wedding Bells are Ringing
How about adding a special ringtone to your kissing game. Have your guests come up to the head table, tell a story about the bride and groom and then ring the bell to have them kiss.
Get Your Groove On Wedding Games!
Still another take on the kissing game, have your guests request certain songs and dance to them for you to kiss. The bird dance was a huge hit at this wedding.
All About the Couples Quiz and Other Table Games
Another hot ticket game is trivia quizzes about the couple. Leave a questionnaire at each dinner table for your guests to complete. The best stories, or guests with the most correct answers are the winner. Or perhaps play a game of wedding-themed I spy with your guests!
Well Wishes or Love Story Games
Consider Jenga with facts about your love story written on each block so guests can learn more about you as they play. Get your guests involved in your wedding day by asking them to leave well wishes for both of you, either way it’s a great way to get your guests involved.

Board Game Partytime
Let your guests take a break from dancing and grab a board game to play. This couple were huge dungeon and dragons fans and there entire wedding theme was directed around gaming.
If The Shoe Fits
The ever popular shoe game is always a hit. How about putting a twist on that game and having cutout shoes so that the guests can participate. A white shoe for team bride and a black shoe for team groom on sticks for your guests. When a question is called out, guests can answer the questions by holding up which shoe best answers the question while the bride and groom do the same.
The Elbow and Knee Game
Tired of the traditional shoe game? Want something just a little different? 2022 was the first time I came across this new bride and groom game and it was a hit with two of my weddings that year. The groom is blindfolded. Then the bride and her bridesmaids grab chairs and line them up. They all have a seat and stick their elbows out into the lane where the groom will walk. The groom then walks the line of chairs feeling each elbow the goal of the game is to figure out which elbow belongs to his bride!
But it doesn’t stop there. Next, the bride is blindfolded. The groom and the groomsmen line up along that same line of chairs and prop a foot up on the chair exposing their knee to the lane the bride will walk. Then the bride walks down the aisle feeling each knee as she goes. The goal is to figure out which of those knees belongs to her husband! It will leave everyone in fits of laughter by the end:)
Picture Perfect Wedding Games
Are you thinking about having a photo booth at your wedding? This is a great way to commemorate the day, and so much fun! How about having a variety of costume props and backdrops? The best costume wins!
You can also provide guests with disposable cameras, or purchase a few polaroid cameras for the big day and ask guests to snap a few photos for your wedding album. Another popular idea is having a wedding hashtag or website where guests can upload their photos so you don’t miss a single moment or memory!
It’s All About Coloring
Are you thinking about having children at your wedding, don’t leave them out of the fun! Set up a coloring book contest, the best coloring project wins!
