Digby Pines Resort Wedding with Danielle and Alex
Danielle and Alex’s wedding was so much fun and totally epic, they chose to have a beautiful Digby Pines Resort wedding in October of 2019. Here’s their gorgeous wedding!
Danielle and Alex met through one of Danielle’s best friends who lived in Grande Cache, Alberta for work. She met Alex that weekend and the rest is history. They exchanged numbers and spoke for months. She then made the move to Grande Cache and got engaged. Had their beautiful son and now are married!!
If you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is to have a longer engagement. It is much easier to plan a wedding and afford a wedding when you have more than a year to do so :).
The Wedding Prep Photos
Danielle and Alex got married in October at the gorgeous Digby Pines Resort. Resort weddings are a great all in one wedding experience. It was a gorgeous and sunny day with just a slight breeze!
Danielle got ready in one of the hotel rooms with all of her bridesmaids, the atmosphere was absolutely electric. There were a lot of screams of joy when they finally got Danielle into her gorgeous princess dress. She then walked the short distance to get to the ceremony. Alex got ready in another section of the hotel with his groomsmen. They were an excited bunch of guys! He traveled to the ceremony on foot.
The Wedding Ceremony Photos
The ceremony was an intimate affair under an arbor in the backyard of the Venue. It was decorated with autumn colors, flowers, and pumpkins! It was so emotional and a real tear-jerker. I loved seeing Alex tear up as Danielle walked up the aisle with her mother and father. Emotional moments filled their ceremony.
The Wedding Party Photos
I love wedding venues where everything can be accommodated on site including your formal wedding photos. The Digby Pines had some beautiful places around their grounds for wedding party photos!
The Wedding Reception Photos
The reception was in the main hall at the venue. They chose Digby Pines Resort because they loved the castle feel the pines gave. They also loved the view of the water at the ceremony location. Although it was a drive for everyone to come, having accommodations on site was a must have for them. They chose a rustic/fall inspired wedding. They both love fall, from the cooler weather to the beautiful colors and ofcourse the pumpkins. I love shooting rich colored themed weddings because the decor is just incredible and their wedding didn’t disappoint. I absolutely loved photographing at Digby Pines, the grounds are absolutely amazing!
They started their reception with their first dance which was to the song Into the mystic by colin janes5. They Tten followed that with dinner. The dinner was a buffet style, which was absolutely delicious. The dessert table was unreal! Too much to choose from and all just so yummy.
The best part of the day for Danielle and Alex was the entire day. Danielle felt pretty relaxed up until her bridesmaids almost didn’t get her into her dress!!! The decorations and flowers were amazing. Shanna from details really gave them everything they wanted.
