The Halifax Public Gardens are a great place for engagement photos! The scenery is always breathtaking at pretty much any time of the year. There is also so much variety to choose when it comes to backdrops for an engagement photographer.

The Love Story

Abbie and Shayne met while they were both looking for housing for their Masters. They were potential roommates but the timing didn’t quite work out! Instead they wound up becoming friends and eventually fell in love. A great long lasting love story always begins in friendship!

How was the Question Popped?

Abbie and Shayne went for a walk behind the Kentville Research Station as they both love nature. She had gone over to the stream to look for minnows and when she turned around Shayne was on one knee! We all know what happened next, a proposal and a new chapter in both of their lives begins.

They both chose the Halifax Public Gardens as Abbie and Shayne both love history and nature. Abbie had also taken Shayne on a walk through the gardens on a very cold January day when he first met her parents. They had always hoped to go back when it was nicer and did just that for their engagement shoot.
