Country Barn Wedding at Hatfield Farm with Hollee and Colton
Hollee and Colton had a sunny, cloudless day for their country barn wedding at the beautiful Hatfield Farm in Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia in early September. It was incredible to have all the people they love with them to mark the occasion, especially after the challenges faced in the last couple of years due to the Covid pandemic. For them the wait was definitely worth it!

The Love Story
Colton and Hollee had known each other for a few years before they became a couple. They first crossed paths at a restaurant where Hollee used to work at. Colton used to come in with his good friend, Dylan. From the moment they saw each other, they were both captivated – although, at the time, neither were single.
Advise for the Newly Engaged
Don’t let yourself become stressed or overwhelmed. At the end of the day, you will be married. Remaining calm and understanding that there are some situations that are just out of your hands, is essential.
The Wedding Prep Photos
Hollee prepared for the wedding at an air bnb which was situated across the road from where Colton was getting ready. It was very comforting to know how close in proximity they were to one another on the big day. The atmosphere was very relaxed, though it became quite sentimental when Hollee put on her wedding dress.
Colton felt at ease amongst his family and the groomsmen as they got ready. They congregated around the firepit for a little while. Subsequently, Colton shared a bottle of champagne with his mom and dad right before heading to Hatfield Farm.
The Wedding Ceremony Photos
Hollee and Colton had visited Hatfield Farm before, and they were convinced that it would be a fun venue for hosting their wedding. They initially planned to have a New Year’s eve themed wedding, but their vision was thwarted by the outbreak of COVID and consequently their wedding was cancelled. Once things opened up again, they opted for a LOVE themed wedding instead!
The Wedding Party Photos
Hollee and Colton chose to take their wedding photos with their loved ones and wedding party by the lake and the gardens surrounding the outdoor ceremony area.
The Wedding Reception Photos
After they had finished taking the family and wedding party photos, the couple made their way to the Logger’s Lodge for their wedding reception and made a grand entrance with beer in hand.
Covid and the Wedding Day
Hollee and Colton felt that the pandemic had robbed them of the enchantment surrounding their engagement. Consequently, they reveled in each and every aspect of their wedding day.
