Wedding Planner and Day of Coordinator in Nova Scotia-Do You Need One?
Congratulations! You found the love of your life and said, “YES!” to the biggest and best question of your life. You are ready to tie the knot, but now you have a million and one questions and your to-do list keeps getting longer and longer. Should you hire a wedding planner or a day of coordinator or both?
It’s only a couple of hours before you walk down the aisle and your bouquets get delivered but they are the wrong colours. Or your DJ cancels because his wife is in labour. The weather channel is predicting rain during your outdoor cocktail hour and you didn’t order a single umbrella or have a backup plan. Your groom lost his tie, or your maid of honour ripped the hem of her dress.
Hiring A Wedding Planner
You can spend the day fretting about problems big and small, or, you can leave it to a wedding planner and chances are, you won’t even know there was an issue, to begin with.
There are as many different wedding planners as there are types and themes of weddings. For this reason, it is important to ask your wedding planner exactly what they will and will not do leading up to, and on your big day to guarantee the best fit.
Many planners will meet with you monthly leading up to your wedding to help with any large tasks, and will coordinate your vendors so that they work well together as a team. The closer your wedding approaches, you can expect to meet with your planner more often. Expect to hand over more responsibility to your wedding planner during the last few weeks so that you have time for special wedding events.
Day of Coordinator
If giving up all responsibility of your wedding planning is a thought that gives you anxiety, but you still want help on your big day. A day of coordinator may be the way to go for you. They will deal with any hiccups or issues that may arise throughout the day. Coordinating with your JOP and MC, queue speeches, and will be a point of contact for all of your vendors on the big day.
Do It Yourself Wedding Planner
Many people may forgo a wedding planner, monthly coordinator or a day of coordinator, to save costs. In the end, deciding to do the planning themselves. This could be great for someone who loves planning and is super-organized. However, not everyone loves planning and not everyone wants to work on their big day. Below are some links to help in your wedding planning if you are one of those who wants to do it all.
Wedding Planner, Monthy Coordinator or Day of Coordinator
